Step 1: Open Windows Media Center from the Start Menu. You’ll be presented with the Welcome to Windows Media Center (WMC) screen where you can click Continue.

Step 2: From the menu, scroll to TV and live tv setup. Choose your region. Windows will assume it’s the same region you picked in the initial installation so it should be correct by default. If you need to change it select No, I want to select a different region.

Step 3: Enter in your Zip Code and hit next. Now you’ll need to agree to two terms of service…the first one being the Program Guide.

Step 4: Gree to Install PlayReady and click Next. WMC will download and install the PlayReady feature. Now in TV Setup, WMC will try to detect where the TV singal is coming form. Here it found Digital Antenna. If it doesn’t see it, check that everything is connected properly, and select No, let Windows Media Center detect again.

Step 6: WMC will download the TV Program Guide for your area so you can check listings for up to 14 days. After everything is detected and downloaded you can click on Finish. If something doesn’t look correct, you can go back through the setup wizard steps.

Step 7 Now you shoud be able to go through the different channels and watching live TV.

Step 8: Right click on the screen while watching a program to show the details about the show you’re watching. You can also use different versions of Close Caption.

Step 1: Click “Install” to finish adding the extension to Google Chrome. Once the installation is complete you will see a new “”Toolbar Button”" and the following message. To access weather forecasts for your desired location click on the “”Toolbar Button”"”" to display the following window.

Step 2: The options will open in a new tab where you can add the name for the city you are wanting weather forecasts for, decide whether to use Metric measurements or not, use the available link to find the code for international locations, and set the background color for the drop-down weather window.

Step 3: We were able to type in Singapore. Once you have your location added in click the “Save Button” to finish up. Once you have clicked “Save” you will see this confirmation message window. Click “OK” to close it. A single click on our “Toolbar Button” displayed the current conditions, forecast for the current day, and the forecast for the next three days.

Step 4: A closer look at the drop-down window. Notice that there are clickable links near the top for “Hourly Info, 15 Day Forecasts, & Videos”. Click on any of the links will open up a new tab with the information that you were looking for.

Step 1:Plug the external hard drive into the server. Then open up the Windows Home Server Console and go to Server Storage.

Step 2: You should see the external drive in the list and the drive status is Not Added yet. Right-click and select Add. To Add a Hard Drive Wizard kicks off.

Step 3: Select Add this hard drive to your server storage to increase the storage capacity of your home server. If you were adding it as a backup drive for the server you’d select the second option.

Step 4: A warning screen will come up advising you that the drive will be formatted and all data lost, just click Finish to start the process.

Wait a few moments while the drive is formatted and prepared for the server.

Playback Controls in Now Playing Mode on WMP 12 in Windows 7 always

Step 1: Hover the mouse pointer over the window the controls pop backup to make the playback controls be always displayed.

Step 2: Switch back to Library view and click Organize then Options.

Step 3: Click on the Player tab then under Player settings uncheck the box next to Allow autohide of playback controls then click Ok.

That’s all the steps to make the playback controls always show in NOw Playing mode.

Windows 7 Secret Godmode! Enable a secret tweak gui directly from your desktop

Yes, Windows 7 has a secret game-like Godmode that once enabled, allows the user to access most of its options/settings under one window, nicely arranged and ready to be abused. It won’t do any wonderful magic, but you will find options there that you probably ignored/passed by in your exploration lust. Windows 7 Godmode it’s actually THE collection of tools/settings presented nicely under one window. It’s fair to say that Godmode is a good-to-have option on your desktop, giving the user an overview of Windows 7 and it’s settings.
How to enable Windows 7 Godmode?

1. Create a new folder on your dekstop.

2. Right click on the newly created folder and select Rename.

3. Rename it like this: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} – you can safely copy paste it directly.

Now you will notice that the folder icon has changed and can be double clicked to go to Godmode.
