How can we establish that chronicle of Windows XP is commissioned upon my mechanism system? we would similar to to find out if we have a “corporate” chronicle installed.

Answer:

1. Insert your Windows XP CD
2. Open Windows Explorer, afterwards navigate to: D:I386, click ‘Setupp.ini’

Note a final 3 digits subsequent to Pid (process identifier). The 3 digits signify:

xxxxx335 = Retail (A boxed (By Microsoft) Windows product purchased from a sell supplier.

xxxxx270 = Volume License. Which equates to this chronicle has mixed copies for incomparable organizations.

xxxxxOEM = Original Equipment Manufactures who resell a Windows product regulating their own logo’s.
