XP Hibernate Option

Posted on November 29th, 2010 in Common Technique by admin

Whenever we wish to logoff, close down or reboot your Windows XP appurtenance we have usually 3 choices:

(1) Standby ONLY IF a ACPI/APM function is scrupulously enabled BOTH in your motherboard’s BIOS AND in WinXP!
(2) Restart
(3) Shutdown.

To scrupulously capacitate Hibernation in WinXP:

Start symbol -> Control Panel -> Power Options -> Hibernate add-on -> check Enable extended sleep await box -> Apply/OK -> reboot.

NOTE: If a Hibernate add-on is taken your mechanism does NOT await it!

For a little reason Microsoft did NOT capacitate a 4th option:

(4) Hibernate, that should be accessible upon energy saving (ACPI) enabled PCs as well as laptops.
But we CAN move it back: only reason a Shift pass whilst a Shut down menu is displayed upon your screen, as well as notice a Standby symbol being transposed by a new, entirely organic Hibernate button, that can be clicked with a left symbol of your mouse.

If we recover a Shift key, a Hibernate choice will vanish once again, to be transposed by Standby.
